Marco Battaglia, a longtime LP Iowa activist and a candidate for the Libertarian nomination for Iowa governor in 2018, was interviewed on KSCJ-FM radio on February 26.
In the interview, Battaglia, who writes for the Iowa Free Press and is a bassist in three bands, discusses why the time is right to elect Libertarians, his opposition to the governor’s dipping into reserves to balance the budget, ending the renewable-fuels standard on corn as a biofuel, tax reform, and moving to a free market in health care.
Ahead of Iowa’s June 5 primary election, the LP Iowa convention will feature a debate between their gubernatorial candidates. The convention will be held March 23–24 in the Des Moines area; click here for details.
