I want to introduce you to one of the fiercest activists in the Libertarian Party. Cristi Kendrick of Kentucky is a person that won’t stop fighting for individual liberty, and I want to tell you about her.
Chris Wiest, the LPKY state chair, calls her “the Energizer Bunny.” He said whenever the LPKY needs to organize for outreach at a fair, a state convention, candidate training or candidate recruitment, it’s usually Cristi stepping up to the plate. In short, he said, “She’s phenomenal.”
Cristi is a lifetime member of LP National, currently serving the LPKY as its secretary, and today, she is taking time out of her daily life to attend the four-day Future Candidate School at Leadership Institute.
A couple of weeks ago, Kentucky Libertarians attended a candidate training session with LP National’s Candidate Recruitment Specialist, Cara Schulz, and Campaign Specialist, Apollo Pazell. Given Chris Wiest’s comments above, I am sure you have already gathered that Cristi organized this training session. Cristi arranged for each candidate to take a professional headshot, at no cost to the candidates.
In 2016, Cristi was a critical member of the Gary Johnson for President campaign. She was a regional director and ended the campaign season leading the efforts to bring in critical votes in South Dakota.
There are more people like Cristi. When you support the Libertarian Party with your membership gift, you recognize the work of grassroots activists like Cristi. You amplify our ability to create and send resources to make their jobs easier.
Activism has played a major role in ending slavery, gaining women’s suffrage and ending the war in Vietnam. As children, we are taught about very few activists, with the exception of great leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr. Future generations will lead freer lives because of phenomenal activists like Cristi.
When you join or renew, please consider leaving a message for Cristi in the comments section. I will forward your words of encouragement and gratitude to her.
Our work for a freer future is truly so much more than voting Libertarian on election day.
Thank you for your dedication to liberty in our lifetime.
In liberty,
Nicholas Sarwark
Chair
