Candidate Bio

Taylor grew up in southern West Virginia and has watched the state struggle under the weight of an oversized government, a shrinking economy, and a political class more interested in preserving its own power than serving the people. Since coming to college at West Virginina University and making a home in the 13th, he’s seen this continue though the state changed from Democrat, to Republican control.

That frustration didn’t breed cynicism, it bred conviction. Richmond is running for WV Senate District 13 because West Virginia deserves a representative who actually believes in limited government, not just as a campaign slogan, but as a daily governing principle.

A dedicated, weekly volunteer at his church and active leader in local civic organizations, Taylor has stayed true to the West Virginian values he was raised on. Those have lead him to understand that West Virginians do not need Charleston as a crutch, and we are tired of it being a roadblock.

This isn’t a protest candidacy. It’s a serious campaign with a serious platform, run by someone who believes West Virginia’s best days are still ahead, if we have the courage to choose freedom over dependency.
