Patty Mcmahon

Candidate Bio

Patty has spent the last thirty years at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she served as the Outreach and Education Coordinator for the Denver Field Office. In that role she served as the congressional liaison for the Denver Field Office and across the country. She was selected to serve as the Region VIII Lead for the White House’s Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. During her time in the EEOC, Patty saved taxpayers millions of dollars while serving on an elite work group which reorganized the EEOC. She accomplished this goal without layoffs or hidden expenses to the taxpayer. Many of her initiatives are still in effect today. Patty serves on several nonprofit and civic boards in Colorado and has built relationships across the political aisle, working with leaders of varied political affiliations. Patty is a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver, has lived in Colorado’s 6th US House District for 26 years, and she’s ready to work for us!
