Nicole Hewson

Candidate Bio

Nicole Hewson is running as a Write-In Candidate (Due to Ballot Access Issues in NY) for the 42nd Senate District in the Hudson Valley of New York State. She is a retired teacher who became motivated by the Liberty Platform of Politics (after having served on both sides of the Duopoly) during the CV-19 Pandemic where she ran for her local school board (and won) to advocate for medical freedom, parental rights, and for the needs of families of missing, trafficked, and exploited individuals (mostly runaway teens). Nicole was awarded the Thorn in the Side of the State Award at the 2025 Hudson Valley Libertarian Gala for that work as well as the Hope Alive 845 Award in 2025 (Also Nominated in 2023, 2024, and 2026). Nicole is the current Vice Chairwoman of the Orange County, NY Libertarian Party Affiliate, and was recently elected to the Libertarian Party Committee of New York State. She will begin serving her first term later this month at Convention. She represented the State of New York as a Delegate at the Libertarian National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan in May of 2026. Her platform priorities are all Liberty/Constitution-Based: Fair Ballot Access, Election Integrity (She is a partner with Project Civica), Transparency and Accountability in Government including a Zero Based Budget-Stopping Overtaxation, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse of Tax Money, Simplifying the New York State Public Education System, Maintaining and Expanding Parental Rights, Halting Eminent Domain and Corrupt Corporate/Political Land Grabs, Defending Our Clean Air, Water, Untouched Wild Lands and Open Spaces from Large AI Data Centers, Removing All Mass Surveillance Technology (a topic for which she has been very active at local public meetings with her affiliate’s Chairman), Supporting U.S. Veterans and Their Families, Protecting Parental Rights over Their Children and The Right to Homeschool or provide Alternative Education, Promoting Local Farms, Supporting Regenerative Agricultural Practices, Local Businesses and Craftsmen, Maintaining Cash as a Privacy Guarantee in the Economy and Safeguarding Precious Metal Backed U.S. Cash Currency and Private Crypto-Currency, Ensuring and Expanding Medical Freedom. Nicole is inspired by the MAHA Movement, and teaching others about The Proper Human Diet and Natural Healing. She believes that government needs to keep their hands off kids when it comes to keeping secrets from parents and pushing secret gender altering medical changing surgeries on minors as well as keeping abortion an ethical issue. Nicole is Pro-Life and stands against Partial Birth and Full-Term Abortions. Nicole has extensive training in City Planning and studied it internationally with almost 20 years on a municipal planning board. Whilst still a member of the Duopoly, she served as a NYS Supreme Court Delegate for two years as well. She is a staunch supporter the Second Amendment. She serves on the Board of Directors of her local Outdoor Sporting Association where she was elected Executive Secretary, and appointed the only woman delegate of her County’s Federation for Outdoor Sporting. In her spare time she loves her organic garden, hiking, and her convertible Jeep Wrangler.
