Candidate Bio

John is an educator, church elder, board member for his county’s Habitat for Humanity, husband, father, and grandfather. He first discovered the ideas of Libertarianism when he worked as a substitute teacher. He covered for an English class assigned Ayn Rand’s Anthem. That book motivated him to read more of Rand’s writing. Soon, John had every book Rand wrote (except the Romantic Manifesto.) Around the same time, John also discovered Ron Paul. And soon after that, he found faith in Jesus Christ. Ayn Rand’s Objectivism, Ron Paul’s Revolutionism, and a constant striving to love like Jesus Christ has formed the core of John’s political philosophy.
