Candidate Bio

Jessica Ethridge is a native South Carolinian, who grew up in Greer and has lived in the Upstate all her life.

She has been a legal professional in the Upstate for almost 20 years, and has worked in real estate property research and transactional work, corporate compliance, corporate licensing, and human resources. She has spent the last ten years working in the title insurance industry as a Supply Chain Coordinator (2016-2018) then a State Operations Manager for South Carolina (2019-current).

Additionally, she served the South Carolina Upstate Paralegal Association from 2013-2015 as the Vice-President in charge of Membership, and as the Chair of the Pro Bono Committee. In those roles she implemented strategies that increased membership by 30%, and organized initiatives to support Pendleton Place, United Way, Let There Be Mom, and The Green Beret Foundation. In 2014 she was awarded the Paralegal of the Year award by the South Carolina Upstate Paralegal Association.

Since joining the Libertarian Party in 2019 Jessica has served terms as Greenville County’s Secretary and Chair, and has served a term for the State Party as 2nd Vice Chair. She has been a delegate to 4 State Conventions and a delegate to 3 National Conventions, and ran for Lt. Governor in 2022. In her campaign for Lt. Governor, she was endorsed by the 2020 Libertarian Party Candidates for President and Vice President, Jo Jorgensen and Spike Cohen.

Outside of these positions within the party Jessica hosted a five-season podcast called “Parenting Porcupines”, which provided commentary around issues and current events with a goal to reach a broader audience by using shared experiences to demonstrate libertarian principles in fundamental ways. Jessica and her co-host, and candidate for US Senate Kasie Whitener, presented a breakout session at the 2022 Libertarian National Convention about tools and strategies for raising liberty-minded children.

Growing up in a blue collar home in the heart of District 4, Jessica understands all too well that the rising cost of living is crippling families, and the national debt is the greatest and most immediate threat to our Nation’s security and sovereignty.

She is a mother, a daughter, a friend, and a neighbor, with eyes that see and ears that listen. More than that, she has a heart for her community, and hopes to be a voice for South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District in Washington, DC.
