Alex Astley

Candidate Bio

Alex Astley is a registered Professional Engineer and manager with more than a decade of experience at not-for-profit electric cooperatives. He is a self-proclaimed nerd who loves his tiny dog and his motorcycles. The only King he knows is Jesus, whom Alex attempts to serve every day.

Alex is a stubborn believer in the rights and responsibilities of individual autonomy. He’s particularly passionate about the right to self-defense with the responsibility to not seek to cause harm, the right to free speech with the responsibility to speak honestly, the right to individual privacy with the responsibility to act honorably, and the right to earn a living with the responsibility to not harm others.
