Victor Kocher will be on the ballot as the South Carolina Libertarian Party candidate for the June 20 special election to fill the U.S. House seat vacancy.
The seat, the U.S. House of Representatives fifth district, was held by Republican Mike Mulvaney, until he accepted the position of White House budget chief under the Trump administration. The winner of the special election will remain in the seat for the remainder of the two-year term.
Mr. Kocher has run for office several times as a South Carolina Libertarian, most recently in 2014 for the US Senate, and in 2016 for the state house, district 79.
