NEBRASKA LIBERTARIANS RESPOND TO “O-BOMBA”
OMAHA, NE – March 28, 2011-Libertarian Party of Nebraska Chairman Gene Siadek issued the following statement:
"The lack of any difference between the two entrenched political parties has never been clearer. President Obama spent 30 minutes defending the importance of endangering American lives in Libya, despite there being no threat to the U.S. This is the same Democratic President that declared that the former Republican President should have been impeached for the same type of unprovoked action. Power corrupts even Nobel Peace Prize recipients evidently.
“Obama opened his speech by saying thanks to the very Americans he has put in harm’s way; the American Soldier, Airman, Sailor, and Marine. What a slap in the face to the very men and women he is charged to lead in the DEFENSE of this nation. I guess it plays well with the TV cameras to pay respect, even politically-motivated respect, to ones nation’s heroes.
“Our country has truly become a one-party state. As Nebraska Libertarians, we reject the President’s lack-luster and poorly justified explanation for opening a ‘third front,’ whether he calls it a humanitarian endeavor or not.
