Candidate Bio
Colby Smith-Hynes has 30 years of diverse legal experience; having worked on both sides of the “v” in criminal cases, and as a private practitioner. He has been on the bench as a municipal judge for two decades, in addition to his current role as deputy director of legal services for the Jefferson County Juvenile Office. Colby is also a veteran, who served as an Air Force firefighter.
