Candidate Bio

I am a native northwest Missourian, born in St. Joseph and raised in nearby Faucett, MO.

I am a United States Army veteran of 10 years, where I worked as an infantryman. I spent 18 months inside middle eastern combat zones, broken up into two deployments. I held positions as an RTO, Bradley driver, assistant team leader, team leader, and section leader. I have been stationed in Kansas, Colorado, South Korea, and Germany. I held parachutist and sniper qualifications. I left the Army as a staff sergeant E-6 in 2012.

I am a former law enforcement officer, having worked in that capacity for a combined total of around 7 years. I was employed by the Platte County Sheriff’s Office and the Gladstone Police Department. I was a member of SWAT, a road patrol officer, a court security deputy, and a treatment court tracker during that time.

I am an entrepreneur, currently operating an electrical contracting business, which I am not naming here because I’m unsure as to whether it would violate any ethics rules. I am a licensed master electrician in the Kansas City metro area and provide electrical services over a wide area of northwest Missouri.

I am a family man, married to my best friend Jay, and with a 20 year old son named Billy and a seven year old daughter named Isabella.

I am a libertarian, who is fed up with the government corruption, theft, and irresponsibility, and I am angry about the economic conditions in America that I am leaving my children and their generation.

My foremost goal if elected will be to shrink government to the smallest possible size, returning power and opportunity to the people of Missouri.
