Libertarian Councilman Doug Burlison has teamed up with his colleague Dan Chiles to educate the citizens of Springield, MO on the facts surrounding medical marijuana use. They have planned an event which will include an expert panel discussion and a screening of the film “What if Cannabis Cured Cancer?”

Mr. Doug Burlison and Mr. Dan Chiles are proud to announce an upcoming meeting in Springfield, MO to address the facts and myths associated with the Medicinal Marijuana issue. The keynote presenter is Mark Pedersen, Executive Editor of the Medical Cannabis Journal, Founder of the Cannabis Patient Network, and Director of Sensible Missouri, a patient advocacy group. Mr Pedersen will be airing the film, "What if Cannabis Cured Cancer?" after which a Panel of Patients will be introduced, and followed by a question and answer session.
The event will be held on Tuesday, December 14th at the Library Center, Meeting Rooms A & B (4653 S. Campbell Ave.), and will commence at 6:30 p.m., wrapping up by 9:00 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, and all who are interested are encouraged to attend. Admission is free.
Both Burlison and Chiles currently serve on Springfield’s City Council, are passionate about this issue, and initiating this public discussion of the often misunderstood, yet great promise of the use of Marijuana as a medicine.
