LP Headquarters staff and volunteers handed out 3,200 door hangers and about 1,000 Libertarian bumper stickers in three hours at Glenn Beck’s "Restoring Honor" rally in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of thousands of people attended this rally, many of whom were Tea Party activists.
Last night I attended a rally for J.D. Hayworth, the right-wing Republican challenger to John McCain. I did so only because I was invited by his Southern Arizona Coordinator, and I wanted to see what kind of support he’s drawing, what their issues are, and so forth.
Libertarian Mike Benoit, running for U.S. Congress in California’s 52nd District, has been on a hunger strike for the last week. He hopes the strike will convince his incumbent opponent to agree to earlier debates. Politico writes:
