The Georgia Libertarian Party now has two potential candidates for the 2016 US Senate race, as Ted Metz has announced that he will run for that seat, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Mr. Metz ran for Insurance Commissioner as a Libertarian in Georgia last year, getting over 86,000 votes in a 3-way race.
Allen Buckley has already announced that he is running for the US Senate race next year. This is his third time running for the US Senate, having run in 2004 and 2008. In 2008, he garnered enough votes to force a runoff election between the Republican and Democrat candidates.
Whoever is nominated as the LPGA US Senate candidate will be facing incumbent Jonny Isakson, a Republican.
