The News and Observer, a daily newspaper in Raleigh, NC, ran an article yesterday (12/16/15) on the North Carolina Libertarian Party and its statewide 2016 candidates.
The North Carolina LP has until December 21 to have the candidates file to be able to appear on the 2016 ballot. The deadline used to be in late February of the year of the election, but the legislature recently moved up the deadline.
Sean Haugh, who attracted national attention in his 2014 bid for the US Senate, is running again for the same seat. Lon Cecil is running for Governor, and state chair J. J. Summerell is running for Lieutenant Governor.
