Two New Hampshire libertarians, Rich Tamasso and John Babiarz, testified for over four hours on July 13 at the second hearing for a lawsuit between the New Hampshire LP and the New Hampshire Secretary of State.
The lawsuit is challenging a 2014 law that says no one can start a party petition drive until January 1 of the election year. The Libertarian Party has successfully completed the petition drive twice, and both times it took over a year to finish. To get on the ballot as a party for the 2016 elections would take 14,556 signatures.
Mr. Tamasso and Mr. Babiarz were the only two witnesses at the hearing.
Oral arguments in the case were held on June 18.
