Dear Friend of Liberty,
Who is the highest-level partisan elected Libertarian in America?
Based on population, it’s Ed Coleman, an at-large Indianapolis City-County Councilor.
He’s up for re-election this November and he needs your help. You can donate to his campaign here.
I donated $100 to his campaign last Saturday.
Ed Coleman left the GOP and joined the Libertarian Party in February 2009. You can read his statement here.
He has made some wonderfully Libertarian proposals as an elected Libertarian.
He proposed removing TSA from the airport.
He proposed selling off government-owned golf courses.
He proposed allowing permitted gun owners to carry in city parks.
You can read more about him here.
After you donate, you can volunteer by sending a note to info@edcoleman.org per the instructions on his website. Here’s an idea for how you might let them know what kind of volunteering you’re interested in. You could copy and fill out the form below, and email it:

I’m willing to:
[ ] Make phone calls
[ ] Block walk
[ ] Help with internet activism
[ ] Volunteer locally
[ ] Volunteer from out of town
[ ] Travel to Indiana the week before election and volunteer

After sending that information, I’m guessing you should be patient and be prepared to wait at least a couple weeks for a response. My guess is they probably aren’t ready for an instant influx of a bunch of volunteers, so give them time to assess the situation and plan how they can use all the volunteers.
You can donate to his campaign here.
Sincerely,
Wes Benedict
Executive Director
Libertarian National Committee
P.S. If you have not already done so, please join the Libertarian Party. We are the only political party dedicated to free markets, civil liberties, and peace. You can also renew your membership. Or, you can make a contribution separate from membership.
