Today the South Carolina Libertarian Party nominated Alex Thornton for the special election for state senate on October 1, 2013 vacated by incumbent Robert Ford. Libertarian Rodney Travis also sought the nomination.
Ms. Thornton aims to reduce government waste and reduce taxes on working-class citizens. One benefit she sees arising from less government is “increased competition in fields such as healthcare, driving down the cost, and increasing the quality of service.”
