Presidential and vice presidential candidates Gary Johnson and Bill Weld are now on the ballot in 46 states, as the Virginia Board of Elections confirmed the validity of their petitions on August 26.
If Johnson and Weld get 10% of the vote in Virginia this November, the Virginia LP will become a recognized party for the first time in its history. No other party besides the Democrats and Republicans has had party status in the state since 1997.
