Richard Winger, publisher of Ballot Access News, was quoted extensively in a Guardian article about the prospect of Donald Trump running as an independent for president in 2016. The Guardian covers American and international news for an online, global audience.
Winger has been the country’s top expert on ballot access for over forty years and frequently advises Libertarians, as well as other third parties and independents, in his mission to expand voter choice.
Winger notes, “The Libertarian party successfully got its [presidential] candidate on all 50 state ballots three times at the close of the last century – in 1980, 1992 and 1996.”
