Dr. Murray Sabrin, the 2018 Libertarian candidate for U.S. senate in New Jersey, appeared on the Joe Piscopo Show on AM 970 The Answer radio on April 3.

In the interview, Piscopo and Sabrin, an author and professor of finance at Ramapo College, discuss several ways to shrink the welfare–warfare state: by bringing the troops home, ending the War on Drugs, and getting rid of “trickle-down welfare” by offering tax write-offs for donations to charities.

Sabrin is unopposed in the Libertarian primary, to be held June 5. The incumbent in the race is Democrat Bob Menendez, who faces one primary challenger; four Republicans are vying for their party’s nomination. The general election will be held on Nov. 6.
