Dear Friend of Liberty,
I gave a speech to the Libertarian Party of Maryland state convention on Saturday about how "Libertarian Candidates Make a Difference." Maryland has a nice slate of Libertarian candidates for the 2010 elections.
See our entire list of candidates sorted by state.
Please note that in some cases, state parties choose to list all filed candidates prior to the final nomination (for example, Texas lists five candidates seeking the LP nomination for Governor), while other states wait until after nomination to list their candidates.
If you don’t see any candidates in the districts where you live, then please visit this page to see how Libertarian candidates make a difference, and consider signing up to be a possible candidate.
Deadlines vary by state, but the sooner you express your interest, the better. If you’ve already expressed interest and gotten no response, you might try again.
While the media sometimes ignore Libertarians, that’s definitely not always the case. Libertarians often get lots of coverage. Here’s a recent example from Austin, Texas.
On a separate note: Health care is big issue right now. Please read this message again. It would not hurt to call your congressman again, and repeat every so often until we elect Libertarians.
Thanks for being a Libertarian.
Sincerely,
Wes Benedict
Executive Director
Libertarian National Committee
